How Rotawise keeps playing time fair
Every shift, each player who is at the game earns an equal share of court time. Rotawise puts in the players who are furthest behind their share first. When it’s a tie, the player who sat out the last shift goes in, and nobody stays on the floor longer than they need to. The result: with 10 players, 5 on the court and 8 shifts, everyone plays exactly 4 shifts. With 9 players, nobody gets more than one shift more than anyone else, and nobody sits twice in a row.
Late arrivals and early pickups are handled the same way: a player who is only there for the second half gets a fair share of the second half. If you set your league’s minimum minutes, Rotawise flags anyone who falls short before you print.
It’s still your team. Tap any square to change a shift; the minutes and warnings update as you go. Many coaches make the plan, then move a few kids for matchups or to pair a newer player with a steady one.

Questions
Where is my roster stored?
Only in this browser, on this device. Rotawise has no server and no database, so your players’ names are never uploaded. To move to another device, use “Download backup” and “Restore backup.” Clearing your browser data erases your teams, so keep a backup.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no email list. After the page loads once, it works without signal at the gym.
Is the rotation really equal?
When every player is there for the whole game, everyone gets the same number of shifts, or within one shift when the math doesn’t divide evenly (for example 9 players and 5 spots). Absences, late arrivals and your own edits can change that, and the minutes column always shows the real numbers.
Does it run a game clock?
No. Rotawise plans when to sub (for example every 3 minutes or at each quarter), and game-day view walks you through each change. Keep using the scoreboard clock.
Does it work for other sports?
It’s built for basketball (3v3, 4v4 and 5v5, quarters or halves). Any sport with a fixed number of players on the floor and timed periods, such as futsal or hockey shifts, can use it too; positions are just labeled G, F and C.
What does Pro cost?
$7, once. No subscription and no renewal. Payment is handled by Stripe; Rotawise never sees your card details.
